The Project | ||||
Presenting the scale models and at the same time tell something about the Mercedes-Benz history in Brazil is one of the main targets of this Project. Many of the most significant models from the 50s to the 90s in their many configurations must be represented here during the project. Every model must be built with molded tinplate in the scale adopted by OficinaAberta.com.br, which is 1:25. Planning things is not that difficult, but having time for the project execution is another thing. This way OficinaAberta.com.br intends to, humbly, present some of the models usually seen in the Brazilian roads, mainly by the 70s, one by one. This shows the enthusiasm for the classic ones. As it always may happen, the lack of documentation about some models makes the Project as slow as hard to accomplish. Somehow, the internet is the blessing of the last times in the way to solve the problem. Nevertheless, the fragmented data and the poor quality of some pictures make difficult the composition of the necessary information for each of the models in the project. The two first studies, done here, to make the Mercedes-Benz models happened many years ago. The first one was intended for the building of the L1313 and L1513 models and the second for a most recent model, the Axor. The current project is more complex and is named, here, The Project “C” of Mercedes-Benz Scale Models. Steel molds have been made to assure the parts shape and to make possible the build of many units. The Mercedes-Benz L312 was the first chosen model in the project, as it should be, because it was the first model assembled in Brazil. It is a worthy representative of the torpedo Mercedes.
